Hello, Dear Reader! Thank-you for visiting this virtual storage-room for my stories from the field.
I’ve been working professionally as a journalist for a while now, and certainly know how to write something up so it as un-biased and dry as an old onion pancake.
But I decided to take a different tone with this set of reports from the Threshold States.
It is a place further (from where you are) than the Mongolian steppes, more difficult to access than the peaks of Annapurna, and more exciting than Beijing in the throes of the Lunar New Year. And precious few people like you and I have actually been there.
So bear with me as I sketch out some of the more interesting happenings that I either witnessed myself or learned second-hand.
And I’ve only really just started; there is so much more to come.

Although you may read these episodes beginning-to-end, end-to-beginning, side-ways, upside-down or perpendicular, I suggest you start with the first one Flushing the Rats Out of The Underground City. And thank-you, Dear Reader, for joining me (Oriole Burdee) here!!
